Validation of an Innovative Epilepsy Wearable System
...through the eyes of people with epilepsy...
Addressing a Critical Need
Many medical devices complete clinical trials with excellent results but struggle to succeed in the marketplace because patients are reluctant to use them for various reasons. Project VIEWS seeks to overcome this challenge by actively involving people with epilepsy in the development process. We gather, analyze, and implement their feedback to ensure that our device is both effective and user-friendly. By focusing on the opinions, needs, and experiences of those living with epilepsy, we aim to bring a product to market that truly makes a difference in their daily lives.
Our Partnership with CrossCare
Through the CrossCare project, we are validating the acceptability and usability of our wearable device in real-world settings in the Netherlands and Belgium. This collaborative effort aligns with our strategy to enter the Dutch and Belgian markets, with the support of clinical partners who are helping to ensure that our device meets the highest standards of performance and patient satisfaction.
About CrossCare 2.0
CrossCare is a cross-border initiative between Flanders and the Netherlands that accelerates healthcare innovations. It offers a unique combination of practical and financial support, allowing SMEs to test and refine their innovations through eight healthcare pilot programs across both regions. As part of this ecosystem, Project VIEWS benefits from real-world testing environments to ensure that our device not only performs well clinically but also meets the needs and preferences of patients and healthcare professionals alike.
